Our history
It was to be a new beginning
Ludwig Eibach and other pastors in Nassau wanted to spread the message of the Gospel and help the church to more clearly fulfill its role as an advocate for "the poor, the sick, the neglected, the abandoned, and the outcasts" by founding the "Association for the Protestant Church in the Duchy of Nassau."
The foundation stone
The founding declaration of November 11, 1850 stated that the association wanted to be "open and fresh" and "show its true colors." Anyone who wanted to become a member should "do their utmost to contribute not only with gifts, but also with words and deeds, to ensure that the association fulfills its mission." This mission was to "care for and strengthen those who are physically and mentally afflicted."
