“Chez la Beast” captivates the audience
During the annual School Theater Days, the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden was once again firmly in the hands of students and their unique productions. Year after year, these special days are eagerly anticipated with excitement and great anticipation—a week full of theater, hustle and bustle, and unforgettable moments! And the Campus Klarenthal School was back again with a captivating performance!
More than 500 up-and-coming talents lit up the stages of the Kleines Haus and the Studio, impressively showcasing their skills.
Right on the first day, students from the Klarenthal Campus kicked off the School Theater Days with their rousing production of “Chez la Beast.” This modern musical blends themes from Beauty and the Beast with the style of Chicago and The Greatest Showman.
In the heart of Paris, the shy “Beast” runs a small karaoke bar—a place where extraordinary personalities come together and music changes lives. With humor, heart, and impressive stage energy, the play tells a story of courage, friendship, and finding one’s own voice.
Particularly impressive: “Chez la Beast” was developed together with the students—full of creativity, enthusiasm, and musical passion, as teachers Marta Stegemann and Tami Jantzi emphasize.
The thunderous applause at the end was the greatest reward for all the hard work, rehearsals, and excitement: standing ovations filled the hall, and the audience was thrilled. The students—bolstered by the support of their families—were overjoyed and proud of what they had brought to the stage.
