A Suitcase Full of Life: The inclusive theater group ZEITLOS is rehearsing for a new performance at the thalhaus in Wiesbaden
New production “The Three Pillars of Being” explores life’s big questions – Performances on November 11 and 12, 2026, at the thalhaus in Wiesbaden
Where do I come from? Who am I? Where am I going? The inclusive theater group ZEITLOS explores these big questions in its new production. For the past three years, the actors—both with and without disabilities—have been developing the play together. It will premiere at the thalhaus in Wiesbaden this November.
It all began with a sentence spoken by a ZEITLOS actress: “We travel.” From there, the group gradually developed the idea of the “journey of life.” The suitcase became the central symbol for what people carry with them through life: experiences and memories, wishes and secrets. Strands of life and a chest take up these themes. The performers’ own texts and personal experiences are interwoven with dance, movement, and improvisation.
ZEITLOS has been part of EVIM Teilhabe’s cultural work for more than 25 years. People with various disabilities collaborate with volunteers and professional artists to develop sophisticated theater productions. In the process, everyone finds their own form of expression and role on stage. (hk)
