Haus der Kinder Rheingaustraße

Haus der Kinder is a neighborhood preschool located in the Biebrich district of Wiesbaden. Just as the neighborhood is culturally diverse and cosmopolitan, so too is the atmosphere at our preschool. Haus der Kinder cares for a total of 50 children, ranging in age from 1 year old until they start school.

Important for parents

  • Drop-off time by 8:30 a.m. (exceptions by arrangement)
  • Quiet time from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Children should not be picked up during this time (exceptions by arrangement)
  • The initial consultation takes place on a voluntary basis at your home
  • Close cooperation with the affiliated elementary schools
  • We take the children out into nature every day

Opening hours

Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

We are closed during the third and fourth weeks of the Hessian summer holidays, as well as at the beginning of the winter school holidays until the first week of January.

Other closing days are Rose Monday, as well as the Fridays after Ascension Day and Corpus Christi.
There are four concept days on which the facility is closed.

Our concept is based on Montessori education and nature education. Maria Montessori's educational approach focuses on children's independent activity and self-directed learning. Despite our inner-city location,
we want to give children as wide a range of nature experiences as possible.

Language, movement, nutrition, and social integration are essential building blocks of our work. We accept each child as they are, with their interests, talents, and needs, and support each child in their individual development.
