Interkulturelle Jugendwohngruppe IJWG Bad Schwalbach
The IJWG Bad Schwalbach is centrally located in Bad Schwalbach. We offer a home to eight young people who, for various reasons, can no longer live at home. We take in young people aged 16 and over who need the protected environment of a residential group.
Our main focus is on helping them become independent and supporting them in the matters of everyday life.

This is important to us
The IJWG Bad Schwalbach is a shift work group that provides care 365 days a year. Eight teenagers and young adults have found a home here on three floors. In the adjacent building, there are three apartments, each of which is home to one teenager who is being introduced to the challenges of independent living.
Each young person has a designated caregiver who is part of a team of educational professionals.
The main goal of our facility is to help young people become independent in their own lives. The intercultural approach of the residential group is aimed at all young people, especially refugees, and supports them in integrating into our society and dealing with the everyday challenges of life. The main topics in our daily work with the young people are support in school or work, assistance in dealing with authorities, developing good lifestyle habits, healthcare, and leisure activities.
The educational work is embedded in a systemic approach, trauma pedagogy, and nonviolent communication and addresses the participatory skills of the young people. The young people are encouraged to strengthen their own personalities and their ability to relate to their fellow human beings.
