History of EVIM

175 years ago, a pastor wanted to help poor and sick people.
The pastor's name was Ludwig Eibach.
In 1850, he and others founded the EVIM association.
Three years later, they opened a house for young people.
There, the young people received help.

Today, EVIM helps many people.
EVIM promotes respect, appreciation, and community.
EVIM also protects the environment and works in an environmentally friendly manner.

Our motto is "MitMenschen" (with people).
This means that we work with people and help others as good fellow human beings.

EVIM is an abbreviation of our long name.
Our long name is EVIM Evangelischer Verein für Innere Mission in Nassau (Protestant Association for Inner Mission in Nassau).

people work on the administrative board on a voluntary basis.
The administrative board collects good ideas and makes many decisions for EVIM. The board of
directors must also abide by these decisions.
