Greater Digital Inclusion: EVIM Website Now Available in Plain Language and Five Other Languages

Following its relaunch, the EVIM website has taken another important step toward digital inclusion. Visitors can now view the content in plain language with a single click. A digital assistant is also available to help people with visual impairments customize the page’s display according to their individual needs.

The further expansion of accessibility was made possible by a project funded by Aktion Mensch in cooperation with Eye-Able. The tools used help identify and continuously remove barriers on the website.

In addition, the website is now available in five additional languages: English, French, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Arabic. This makes information about EVIM and its services accessible to even more people.

The new features are available on every subpage and make it easier for many people to access information. “With Eye-Able, we can specifically identify barriers and eliminate them step by step. And with the multilingual translation feature, our services become more understandable to a wider audience. We’re seeing real progress and are continuously improving our website so that it’s easy to use for as many people as possible,” concluded EVIM officials. (hk)
