Touched by Art: The First EVIM Tandems Get Creative
"Touched by Art" has kicked off: The major art initiative, featuring prominent supporters such as Udo Lindenberg, Gerhard Richter, and Yayoi Kusama, launched in Wiesbaden last week.
The idea: Ten pairs—each consisting of one artistically active person with a disability and one without—will work together for four weeks, creating art in rooms of the former Palast Hotel that have been converted into makeshift studios. The goal: to raise awareness about inclusion and demonstrate that art can be created entirely independently of disabilities. Five of these pairs are from EVIM, while others come from different organizations—in the coming days, we’ll briefly introduce the first EVIM pairs working together in April in a series of articles on our website.
