Kinderhaus Campus Klarenthal

Surrounded by extensive woods and meadows, the Campus Kinderhaus is located in the midst of beautiful natural surroundings. Our three-story building offers space for 100 children in two nursery groups and four additional groups in the elementary school. Another group is offered as a forest group for 17 children. Here, every child finds the time and space to experience nature, develop their own personality, and learn to treat others with respect.

"Ich spiele gerne draußen im Wald. Manchmal bauen wir da eine Hütte aus langen Stöcken, wo wir alle reinpassen. Das finde ich schön."

Alex, 5 Jahre

Important for parents

We spend most of the morning with the children outdoors in nature, both in summer and winter. To ensure that the children can enjoy their days here with us to the fullest, they need to be equipped with sturdy, weatherproof clothing and a change of clothes.
Drop-off time is flexible between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Late drop-offs are only possible at lunchtime, as the groups are out and about at that time.

Special features

  • 2 nursery groups
  • 2 elementary groups for children aged 3–4.5 years
  • 2 elementary groups for children aged 4.5–6 years
  • 1 forest group with children aged 3–6

Concept & Services

Nature and Montessori education guide our work. We accept every child as they are: with their interests, talents, and gifts. True to the principle of "Help me to do it myself," we encourage and support children to learn with all their senses and become independent.

Mindfulness in dealing with nature

We provide space to explore nature and move freely in it, whatever the weather and whatever the season. We incorporate our garden, with its wood workshop, animals, flower beds, and much more, into our educational work. Mindfulness in dealing with nature, getting to know and using the things that surround us, guide our actions and are reflected in many details of everyday life.

Individual settling-in period

Both in the nursery and in the elementary area, each child is given an individual settling-in period. This must be done even more carefully and slowly with nursery children. The length of time is entirely dependent on the child.
Later transitions within the house then take place without the parents, and these transitions are also carefully accompanied by our colleagues.

testimonials

Now our second child is attending the Kinderhaus, and we are convinced by the concept, the empathetic teachers, and the great work they do there every day. Our daughter's current highlights are gym class and sheep duty. She also really enjoys gardening, trips to the forest, and the wide range of creative activities on offer.
