Tagesgruppe Plus Wehrheim
The Tagesgruppe Plus in Wehrheim is aimed at individual children who are at risk of exclusion due to their behavior in their family, school, and social environments and are therefore under particular stress. We develop individual, flexible responses to their family emergencies and problem situations. In doing so, we involve the entire family or groups of children or young people. We also relieve the parents of some of the burden of raising their children and provide them with support.

The Tagesgruppe Plus is a temporary, partially residential program offered by Child and Youth Services, designed to address children’s parenting challenges and behavioral issues in close collaboration with the family. The program is available to children and families from the Usinger-Land region in cooperation with the Hochtaunuskreis Youth Welfare Office.
Through a group-based daily structure, relationship-building that fosters resources, and intensive work with parents—including home visits and small-group activities in the afternoon—the children receive individualized support so they can continue to live in their familiar family environment.
The team consists of six educational professionals and a housekeeper who prepares a fresh lunch every day, providing a supportive environment. In addition, our educational transportation service picks up the children from schools in the Usinger-Land region and takes them home in the afternoon.
We have a partnership with the Geisberg School branch in Wehrheim. As part of this partnership, students from the Geisberg School participate in a small-group project (SoKo: Social and Competent) alongside their regular classes, where they receive targeted guidance and support from the educational staff of the Tagesgruppe Plus to develop their social skills and abilities.
The day group is located in the facilities of the former Heinrich-Kielhorn School in Wehrheim and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
