Wohngruppe Haus Katharina

stationary Wiesbaden 10-18 Jahre
§ 27 § 34 § 41 § 42

The Haus Katharina residential group is aimed at eight girls and young women aged 12–18 who, for various reasons, cannot or do not want to live with their families of origin.

We offer a safe place where our girls can develop and flourish individually. In a family-like environment, we respond to the girls' living situations and specific needs.

This is important to us

Our daily educational activities are geared toward the complex and multifaceted issues faced by girls. We provide stability and structure in their everyday lives and promote gender- and age-specific development. We also encourage and support the girls in approaching their daily challenges with confidence.

We support them in this

  • find an independent and gender-neutral identity and show a broad spectrum of future prospects
  • Develop individual personal and professional perspectives
  • Strengthen self-confidence and personal responsibility
  • Ensuring and stabilizing school or training attendance
  • Live and learn in the community
  • Practicing everyday practical skills and developing communication and conflict resolution strategies
  • Rediscovering family skills and existing strengths and using them in everyday educational life
  • Maintaining, stabilizing, and (depending on the resources of all involved, the age and development of the girls) intensifying relationships with the family

This is our profile

  • Stimulation of educational processes concerning the role of girls
  • Development of individual action strategies
  • Processing traumatic experiences
  • Catching and stabilizing emotional instability
  • Strengthening self-confidence and autonomy through work specifically tailored to girls
  • Stimulating healing processes
Admission is arranged by the responsible youth welfare office.
